The team sent a six man squad to Central Minnesota and Western Wisconsin for the Nature Valley Grand Prix Stage Race. The race is part of USA Cycling's National Racing Calendar, so all the familiar big teams were present.

Our riders have been improving all year and the results are showing their development as professional cyclists. It was evident in the three top ten stage finishes at the Nature Valley Grand Prix and the victory in the Best Young Rider competition by Ty Magner. Right behind Ty in the competition was Tanner Putt, proving that our team is growing in strength as a whole.

Here's the stats from the Nature Valley Grand Prix.

  • Stage 4: Ty 9th, Tanner 17th
  • Stage 5: Ty 11th
  • Stage 6: Tanner 5th, Ty 8th
  • Final General Classification: Ty 13th, Tanner 20th
  • Best Young Rider Jersey Classification: Ty 1st, Tanner 2nd, Alder Martz 7th, Mike Stone 9th

This coming week, the team will have their biggest chance to show their strength as Under 23 riders. The team is headed to Augusta, Georgia where they will line up against a full field of the best Under 23 riders in the USA. Our riders will be competing for the National Champion Title in the time trial, criterium and road race events. Although the competition will be fierce, we are confident that the guys can come home with a national title.
